The Ugly Truth Of Web 2.0

Having first broken out a year ago,  a story about a man who successfully sued his surgically prettified wife over an 'ugly baby' has grown arms and legs this week with, in the words of Huffington Post, 'cyberspace spitting out a picture purporting to be the couple and their three children'.

Truth or hoax, the story tells us ugly truth, straight in our face: in the era of digital exposure and instant news when there is so much noise out there, you don't have to be a genius to trick the world into believing your story. Lesson learnt: news world is becoming more interesting, journalists' work is becoming even harder! Trust your sources, but cut the cards!
