It's Bloody Clear for Bob Bob Ricard

It's Bloody Clear for Bob Bob Ricard

Image Whenever someone asks me about my favourite restaurants and bars in London, it's both easy and difficult to say what these are. Easy - because there are so many fab places and it's easy to pick and choose, and difficult - because new bars and restaurants and pop-up projects open every week and the choice is endless.

If you are on a mission to spend an absolutely fantastic elegant old-school beautiful evening in a restaurant that has that lovely classy vibe, as well as one of the best Beef Wellington in the world, on the menu of which one of the most frequent words is 'truffle' (one can never go wrong with that!) AND there is a selection of delicious Russian meals with a twist at the same time (check out Brezhnev oysters - so delicious!) - then Bob Bob Ricard is the one, without any doubt.

Founded by Richard Howarth and a Russian businessman Leonid Shutov, the restaurant got its name from the owners' names - but with a twist (as everything there). Richard gave Leonid a nick-name Bob as 'Leonid' was too hard to pronounce, and Leonid transformed 'Richard' to 'Ricard'. And 'Bob Bob' reflects the fact that Leonid has a bigger share. Fair enough! :)

Bob Bob Ricard is THE place with the tempting 'Press For Champagne' button - there's no way you can avoid pressing it - and order Vintage Bollinger. And if you think that it cannot get any better - try Vodianova Clear Bloody Mary (pictured above) - a new sensation to your taste buds. Na zdorovie!
